I have kept rodents for 20 years now, my first pet was a wonderful rat called Mayhew who was gorgeous. I have bred Syrian hamsters, Fancy mice, African Pygmy mice and Degus but currently breed Winter White Dwarf hamsters and Campbells Dwarf Hamsters who are both lovely natured breeds. They both have fantastic tempraments and the winters make such companionable and very handleable pets.I keep all my retired pairs througout their retirement.I started to breed these hamsters because I love them and I hope this blog will be a tribute to my beautiful animals. I have recently started breeding Guinea Pigs.
I have Winter White hamsters available regularly. I breed for temprament so they are really friendly. I breed most colours including "Pearl "(white), "Mandarin" (apricot), "Grey" or "Agouti" (brown and black stipes, like a little Chipmonk) , "Sapphire"( bluey grey ), "Brown" (a paler version of grey), Mushroom (silvery beige) and Orange ( apricot with silvery blue stripes and red eyes). Occasionally I have ruby eyed Mandarins, Browns or Mushrooms but they are much less common. Ruby eyes are very dark and its only really possible to see the colour if the light catches them a certain way, Pyro and Captain Blood are both ruby eyed but it doesnt show on the photos. I have photos below of some of my Winter Whites who best show the colours.
CAMPBELLS DWARF HAMSTERS
I now breed Campbells Dwarf hamsters, also known as Russian Dwarfs.
